This New Moon is in Pisces at 6 degrees.  For some of us, it will be Feb. 25^th, 2009 because of the time changes.  For my area it will be Feb. 24^th, 2009.  This also happens to be my baby sister Roseanne’s birthday.   Happy Birthday New Moon Baby Sister.  The world should be at your feet this year. (Pisces, feet, get it!)   Back to the New Moon in Pisces.  What house does it take place in for you?   Take note of this house because this is the area where the challenge appears.  If you have any planets in water at this degree, you will be floating in a sea of clouds.  If you have any planets at this degree in Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius or Pisces, pay attention to what is going on around you.  This will be a time of change.

Certain areas of our lives have slowed down a bit in order to give us time to breathe and catch up with life and current events.  After March 1^st, 2009 Mercury will be at the point that it went retrograde and we will be all caught up.  Mercury is the planet of communication; therefore, it’s no wonder that communications have been slow in coming.   For those of us that are anxiety ridden, please take a deep breath.   These last two Eclipses are in effect for 6 months.  The soonest possible date for things to turn a corner is April 29^th, 2009 or May 9^th, 2009.   Everyday you will be one step closer to your objectives.

Venus is going retrograde on March 6^th, 2009 and journeys back to Pisces where Venus is at its best when it comes to romance.  Venus rules Libra and Taurus.  Now take at look at where these houses land in your chart and you will see where to expect some delays or changes.  If you look ahead to April, you will see that Venus will conjunct Mars on April 22^nd, 2009 which is the ultimate goal of this Venus transit.  It’s connection with its cohort Mars creates a bonfire of a new beginning. 

Saturn is still retrograde and goes over the degrees of 18, 17, and 16 (in that order) this month.  This will take you back to the month of October 2008 and you will be asked to make decisions on events that are about to repeat themselves.  This is only possible if you have personal natal planets at these degrees in Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius or Pisces.  If this is the case, you will be letting go of your comfort zone to achieve new goals with new challenges. 

Uranus moves from 21degrees of Pisces forward to 23 degrees.  The Saturn Uranus opposition has now rescinded into the past but promises more to come later on in the year.  Uranus offers you a wonderful trine to any planets you have in water signs (Cancer Scorpio Pisces) at these degrees.  If you are looking for challenges, look at Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces at these degrees.

Neptune travels from 24 degrees of Aquarius to 25 degrees.  If you have any planets in Leo, Taurus, Scorpio and Aquarius at these degrees, you may find that events are not so crystal clear. 

Pluto, the planet of transformation, continues its transit thru Capricorn and connects for the first time with 3 degrees of Capricorn.   It goes retrograde on April 3^rd, and does not return to this position until the end of the year.   Pluto retrogrades to 0 degrees on September 11^th, 2009 and then turns stationary direct.  If you have any planets in this position in any Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), you are about to enter a time of transformation.  This can be intense but it will be well worth it. 

Now that I have given you the update, I hope you will get a little more information from the following monthly forecast.

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 12^th house of the past, preparation and institutions, the subconscious and connection to the universe.   This placement is a concerted effort to get all your ducks in a row.  There is time to prepare for events that will be taking place in the near future.  This is also a time for meditation and connecting with the part of you that directs your future and personal goals.  Because of the Neptune haze that surrounds everything,  you will have to be extra diligent. 

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

This New Moon takes place in your 11^th house of goals, hopes and wishes.  ” The times they are a’changing. ” This placement reinforces the goals you have set forth to accomplish or helps you dismiss them if they are too lofty.  Your friends and fellow confidants will help you distinguish the real from the utterly fantastical that you may be hanging on to.  

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)

This New Moon takes place in your 10^th house of career and standing in the community.  Your direction seems to be career oriented and I am hopeful that you will be pushing the envelope this month.  There will be challenges to what you do and how you do it.  It is all about how far you can stretch. 

CANCER-(June 21-July 22)

This New Moon takes place in your 9^th house of higher education, foreign affairs legal matters and philosophy.  The inference here is that there are new ideas starting to percolate all around you.  Your rising sign is in trine, thus, your thoughts are insightful and visionary. 

LEO-(July 23-August 22)

This New Moon in Pisces at 6 degrees takes place in your 8^th house of partnership finances, other people’s money,  sex, death and taxes.  (We are all getting ready for taxes. )   This New Moon is not as clear as you would want but it is clear enough for you to make some decisions.  It’s about what you want and what you will give to get it.  

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)

This New Moon in Pisces takes place in your 7^th house of partnerships.  You are the constant romantic and this New Moon only increases your desire for romance.  I really think all you need is a long vacation.  Far be it from me to tell you to stop worrying. 

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)

This New Moon in Pisces takes place in your 6^th house of everyday work and health.  The idea that you may not be doing what you should be doing in this life has constantly been going thru the back of your mind.  You may be right but the time is not now. 

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)

s New Moon in Pisces takes place in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  The activity can happen in any and all of the above areas but I bet you are hoping for love affairs.  This New Moon has a romantic quality about it and offers you great ease in this month’s adventures.

 SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)

This New Moon in Pisces takes place in your 4^th house of home and core issues.  Take some time to organize how you want to do things and what is the most important goal you need to reach.  Compassion and feeling are the common denominators in this equation. 

CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)

This New Moon takes place in Pisces, your 3^rd house of communications and community.  Mercury retrograde will now be picking up speed and communications will be forthcoming.   The opportunities that come from this New Moon are a little bit gilded.  Look carefully. 

   AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 2^nd house of finances and love or what I call values.   You may have some choices to make.  Keep in mind that nothing is over until the fat lady sings.  Jupiter in Aquarius promises many opportunities. 

 PISCES-(February 20-March 20)

This New Moon in Pisces takes place in your 1^st house of personality and how people see you.  You may find there are changes in and around you this month.   This could be a month of celebrations and new beginnings.

Seasons Greetings!

I am so thrilled with this Holiday season.  I feel like the President-Elect will have a big change in his effect on the politics of the day.  I did some research on the President-Elect’s Chart.  Do you realize that he will have a transiting Jupiter conjunct his natal Jupiter on his inauguration day?  Think about this for a moment…Jupiter is entering Aquarius….Idealistic, independent, always for the common good.  That’s a lot of what we like about him.  Maybe politics will return to be For the people and not To the people.   I am hopeful.  This Holiday Season is more and more heart warming as I immerse myself in the holiday spirit.   This season is promising to be a spectacular and a very loving event. I hope you share your holiday season with people you care about and love. I have a lot to say about this New Moon in Capricorn so I best get to it.

This New Moon is at 6 degrees of Capricorn and for all of us, the go-get-um spirit of Capricorn is not only around, it is permeating everything this next month.  Mars, Pluto, Sun, Moon, Mercury, and Jupiter are all in Capricorn.  Wow!  Mars is on a train in Capricorn and will make conjunctions to natal and transiting planets forming beginning cycles to each.  Mars conjunct Pluto on the 29^th of December ushers in some powerful energy.  Depending on where it lands in your chart will be the telling fact for all of us.  Then, just like clockwork, Mars will conjunct the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter.  The Moon will have moved too quickly to get caught by Mars.  These are all new beginnings…Mars will conjunct the New Moon Sun on January 4^th and 5^th of 2009 giving you boundless energy and the ambition of a mountain goat.  As I move forward to see Mar’s next conjunction to Mercury, I can see that Mercury will be going retrograde on the 10^th of January at 7 degrees of Aquarius. As it retrogrades, it goes back into Capricorn to make its conjunction to Mars in Capricorn on January 27^th, 2009.  This has the ring of a serious debate.  The Mercury retrograde continues until it turns direct at 21 degrees of Capricorn on February 2, 2009.  When there is a change, in sign there is usually a change in mind.   We will talk more about this in January.

Not only is there a Stellium in Capricorn, but there is an additional Stellium in Aquarius.  As I review the chart for this New Moon, one aspect in Aquarius stands out like a red light; that is on this New Moon, there is a Venus conjunct Neptune. This promises love, giving, romance and generally good feeling.  The negative part is the overdoing of a good thing.  As far as aspects go, Saturn is in a wide trine to Jupiter and still in opposition to Uranus.  Saturn is going retrograde on Jan. 31^st extending its stay at 21 degrees until summer. 

This next month will bring in a New Moon Eclipse on Jan. 28^th, 2009 at 6 degrees of Aquarius.  I will have more about this in the next installment. 

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 10^th house of career and standing in the community.  There may be a situation that arises that involves career and it began around December 25^th and/or 26^th.  We all are aware that New Moons bring in a challenge that is usually fulfilled by the Full Moon, but in this case, you may find that this situation goes beyond the normal time limits and involves the Mercury retrograde and the New Moon Eclipse on Jan. 26^th.  Your Aries energy is high as this New Moon squares your Sun and puts you in a mood to fight for what you want or, at the very least, setting out on a relentless quest.  Pluto entering Capricorn, your 10^th house, transforms all your career moves from now on.  Stretch and grow Aries.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

This New Moon takes place in your 9^th house of legal matters, education, philosophy and foreign affairs.  Mars transiting this house will be stirring up conditions and situations that will influence the next few months.  Your Sun or any planets you may have in Taurus will be in trine to this New Moon and form an ease in acquiring information you might need in the coming months.  The Mercury retrograde goes back to Capricorn in mid January revealing some undisclosed information. Flexibility is the keyword for you this month, Taurus.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)

This New Moon falls in your 8^th house of other people’s money, partnership finances, sex, death, and taxes.  The challenge here will definitely involve another person or persons.  Mortgages, loans, inheritance and money from partnerships  are sure to bring up conflicts.  Do not assume anything.  Be as focused as possible and read the fine print.  This New Moon is followed by a New Moon Eclipse that promises to involve the next 6 months. Go slow.

 CANCER-(June 21-July 22) 

This New Moon falls in your 7^th house of partnerships, business and/or personal.  Challenges that arise at this point will seem to create more obstacles.  Any planets you have in Cancer will be affected by this New Moon.  This will be an opposition to your natal planets bringing in some endings to certain cycles.  Mercury retrograde will lengthen the process until late February.  Pluto transiting Capricorn from here on will have a transformational power on all partnership issues. Try not to be reactionary.

Leo-(July 23-August 22)

This New Moon falls in your 6^th house of everyday work and service to others. The challenges you face will be difficult to overlook even though you will try.  Conflicts with work issues arise even though you are in a positive stance for personal increase in monies.  If you have health issues, you will notice that the situation is not gloom and doom but a revelation of facts that support you in the coming months.  Be as flexible as possible.

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)

This New Moon takes place in your 5^th house of children and creativity.  Virgo on the ascendant immediately reminds me that Saturn in transiting your 1^st house has an indelible mark on your personality. Taking that into consideration and the fact that Virgo trines Capricorn, your challenge cannot be measured in conflicts but in opportunities.  The 5^th house has plenty of fun opportunities.  The only issues that will continue to plague you in the coming months will be work issues and partnerships. Keep your eyes open for the opportunities.

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)

This New Moon falls in your 4^th house of home, core issues, beginnings and endings.  The challenge comes from where your home or from the inner core of your being.  You will be asked to make some important changes that require you to stretch your knowledge base and grow in order to satisfy the powers that be.  Your home and inner self are about to become very important in the coming years: yes, years.  Pluto transiting through Capricorn will dictate your 4^th house future.  Any planets you have in Libra, Cancer, Aries and Capricorn will be personally affected. This New Moon is just the beginning.  Transformation is a reality.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)

This New Moon takes place in your 3^rd house of communication and community.  The challenge here may come in thru communication with others or with family.  This has the ability to keep you involved in communications for a lengthy period of time. You may also find that it may feel like a power-play; however co-operation is the best way to prevent this.  Communications will be the area that is transformed by Pluto from now on and for some years to come.  You are still under the benefic ray of Uranus, so experiment!

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)  

This New Moon takes place in your 2^nd house of personal finances and values.  This becomes a new power point for your values. Pluto conjuncts Mars on this New Moon and ushers in new and powerful challenges in and around your values.  This New Moon and the Mercury retrograde will extend these issues for awhile.  Watch the 25^th, 26^th, 27^th  for interesting news about finances.  Saturn in Virgo in your 10^th house still persists in pushing you to outgrow your career base. Expect to be changed from the inside out.

CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 1^st house of personality and, with that, I give you Mars conjunct Pluto in your 1st house.  If you think you have been going thru changes lately, you are in for some very interesting years starting with this New Moon.  Situations will appear that have everything to do with how you appear to the world.  They will start to come about as I write.  Mars in the 1^st house moves you forward to increase your visibility and influence.  You will definitely make new moves and surprise yourself in the doing.  The Mercury retrograde is tied into this new Moon and the New Moon Eclipse of next month.  You are taking giant steps into the future.

AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 12^th house of the past, institutions, preparation and the subconscious.  This New Moon signals Mars and Pluto are conjunct in Capricorn ushering in a transformation the likes of which you have never seen before.  This is the background of your life; what made you who you are.   This is the subconscious.  If you have any emotional baggage, it will not allow you to continue with it.  Pluto thru the 12^th opens up your psychic abilities and transforms your mind.  This will be exciting and challenging all at the same time. The Mercury retrograde lengthens this process thru the Eclipses.  So changes are coming mostly in how you think and deal with the past.

 PISCES-(February 20-March 20)

This New Moon takes place in the 11^th house of hopes, goals and wishes.  Along with this New Moon, you will be ushering in Pluto to your 11^th house promising transformation of friends, your goals and desires.  The Mercury retrograde begins in this house. It will lengthen the time these issues are in affect and will also shadow the coming Eclipses.  This New Moon also offers Venus conjunct Neptune; it will be wish-fulfillment time. Transiting  Uranus, still in your first house opposing transiting Saturn, promises more lessons to be learned involving partnerships.

Hi Friends and Colleagues,

I want to thank all of you for reading my work.  I love Astrology and I am grateful that I can do what I love.  This is a very mental, emotional and creative expression and I enjoy its depth and mental gymnastics.  I am grateful for my family and the untold happiness and peace I feel with them. I am grateful for the love of my life for without him, I would be lost. I am supremely grateful for my home, which is cozy and warm and holds all my memories and good feelings.  Since this is Thanksgiving, I think we should all acknowledge what we are grateful for.  We usually do it sitting around the table before we dive into our Feast.  I am going to ask you to acknowledge what you’re grateful for at your table. This has been a difficult year but all years have their ups and downs. We are on the precipice of a New Year and all our hopes are sky high.   If we are grateful, we won’t be worried about tomorrow.  We are all on a personal journey throughout our lives that interweaves with the journeys of others forming a tapestry of life. Communication, kindness, empathy and love are the colors of this work of art. Sensitivity, intuition and understanding form the pattern of the tapestry.    I am so thankful today and I hope you are too.

This New Moon at 5 degrees of Sagittarius has set us on a new path that we may not be aware of for another week or so. If you know Sag like I know Sag, you would say that life was about to get more fun.  Sag brings vitality, curiosity and expansion to this New Moon.  You’ll start to feel more at ease and celebratory. The chart shows a strong trine from Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars to the South node in Leo.  This indicates an harmonious aspect between the above mentioned planets and the point of the South node.  There seems to be something you came to learn in this life and this New Moon will give you the opportunity.

Saturn is still in orb to the opposition to Uranus but for all intents and purposes, I feel this has reached its high point.  I know it is still a challenge but you have achieved more control over the aspect.

I would like to explain how I interpret my forecasts.  I construct a chart of the New Moon or Full Moon and examine the aspects that are made in the chart.  I take each sign and forecast the aspects thru the prism of that rising sign and constellation.

Since I am not doing your chart personally, I am using your rising sign as our contact point.  I interpret the New Moon or Full Moon thru the prism of your ascendant.  I feel this is less general and may have more meaning for you.  You need to see how your planets influence my aspects.  (Only if you are students is this a possibility.)

Please use your Ascendant to read your forecast. You can also read your Sun sign but the ascendant will read more true.

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

This New Moon takes place in Sagittarius, your 9^th house of education, philosophy, legal matters and foreign affairs.  Embedded in this New Moon is also a conjunction of Mercury and Mars.  All of these trine the South Node in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  You will find an easy flow to your life at this time, especially, if it involves the above subjects.  This sets the tone for the next month. There will be lots of activity, light and easy thoughts and a very celebratory mood.  The Saturn Uranus opposition has taken a permanent position in your 6^th and 12^th house.  Jupiter and Venus transiting your 10^th house of career is forming a trine to Saturn in the 6^th house easing work or health issues. If you place this New Moon in your personal chart, you will see what this new moon has in store for you.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

This New Moon in Sagittarius takes place in your 8^th house of partnership resources and other people’s money indicating some challenges in finances from others. Mercury and Mars indicate some strong discussions that take place in relation to finances.  The trine to the South Node is in the 4^th house of home and core issues. Opportunities you don’t expect seem to arise from the most unexpected places. Jupiter and Venus conjunct in your 9^th house forms a trine to your Saturn in the 6^th  and seems to solidify some positive entertainment issues. Home seems very important at this time.  The Saturn Uranus opposition has taken up temporary residence in your 11^th and 5^th houses indicating continued low stress in these areas.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)

This New Moon in Sagittarius takes place in your 7^th house of partnerships.  The Mercury Mars conjunction in Sag tells me that the discussion revolves around partnership.  This can be either business or personal.  This does seem to be important and with the trine to the South Node in the 3^rd, indicating an ease in communication.  There is still the stress of the Saturn opposition Uranus temporarily taking a position in the 4^th house and the 10^th house of your life.  This opposition indicates changes that you will make; you’re just not ready yet.  Jupiter and Venus conjunct in the 8^th house of partnership finances form a congenial trine to Saturn in  your 4^th house of home and core issues.  Things loosen up a bit.

CANCER-(June 21-July 22) 

This New Moon in Sagittarius takes place in your 6^th house of everyday work and health.  The Mars Mercury conjunction indicates discussions on health issues or work or both.  The trine to the South Node in your 2^nd house of personal finances and values insures that suggestions to financial issues are positive and offer different opportunities.  Saturn and Uranus have taken a temporary oppositional position in your 9^th and 3^rd house insuring a constant low stress level in this area of your life.  Basically, this opposition represents changes that you want to make but are not sure of at this time.  Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in your 7^th house of partnerships in trine to Saturn in your 3^rd house of communication and community.  Partnerships are possible now.

LEO-(July 23-August 22)

This New Moon in Sagittarius takes place in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  The discussion here indicates a plan and a purpose that requires a good deal of action on your part.  I know you don’t feel sure but I feel this New Moon will move you into a more positive and pleasant era.  Saturn and Uranus have taken a temporary oppositional position in the 8^th and 2^nd house of personal finances and values.  This will continue to produce a low stress level in the background of your life. At the same time Jupiter and Venus conjunct in your 6^th house of work or health which seems to indicate a good time for changes in these areas.

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)

This New Moon in Sagittarius takes place in your 4^th house of home and core issues.  The Mercury and Mars conjunction indicates discussions that take place that deal with activity in the home.  This stellium of planets is in your 4^th house indicating new decisions, new plans and new perspectives.  They are all in trine to the South Node in 11^th house of goals.  A lot of mental gymnastics are taking place as you make plans for the near future.  Uranus and Saturn have taken on a temporary home in your 1^st and 7^th house indicating a low level of continued stress that deals with partnership.  There is a saving grace: Jupiter and Venus, the two great benefices, are in trine to your Saturn in the 1^st house of personality.  New aspects of your personality may be showing up and present you with new choices.

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)

This New Moon takes place in your 3^rd house of communications and community indicating your immediate environment is the birth place of this month’s challenges.  Sag in the 3^rd  house can promote a lot of discussion in and around you.  This New Moon is in trine to the South Node in the 11^th house of goals adding another element to this stew.  This New Moon sees changes in traditional plans in order to take advantage of a more goal oriented plan.  Uranus and Saturn have taken temporary residence in your 12^th and 6^th houses continuing to allow a low level of stress to exist.  The axis  between everyday work and health along with behind the scenes activity still  hold a charge.  Jupiter and Venus in the 4^th house of home are providing some ease with a trine to Saturn in your 12^th house of the past and preparation.  Tradition is a constant.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)

This New Moon in Sagittarius falls in your 2^nd house of personal values and love.  The Mars Jupiter conjunction promoting discussions about finances and opening the discussions with opportunities from the 8^th house of other people’s money.   Saturn and Uranus are still in opposition from the 11^th house to the 5^th house keeping the stress level on low.  You have never been good at saving money but please keep trying.

Jupiter and Venus transiting your 3^rd house of communication and forming a trine aspect to your Saturn in the 11^th house of goals indicates some ease in reaching your goals at this time.

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)

This New Moon takes place in your 1^st house of personality and movement getting you ready to rock for the holidays.  The Mercury Mars in conjunct to this New Moon adds a lot of discussion on where to go and what to do.  It is also birthday time for you and you are so ready for a party.  All of this is in trine aspect to your South Node in the 9^th house. Is a trip on the agenda?  Saturn and Uranus are still in opposition in your 10^th house of career and 4^th house of home keeping stress levels alive but low at this time.  Jupiter and Venus conjunct in your 2^nd house of personal income or finances says you are not in the mood to save money.  This aspect is in trine to your Saturn in the 10^th of career lifting some career burdens off of your shoulders.

CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 12^th house of the past, hidden aspects, institutions and preparation.  You must be planning a surprise party for someone because you are not doing all of this planning in front of anybody.  This New Moon is conjunct Mars and Mercury also in your 12^th of planning and preparation in trine to the South Node in your 8^th house of other people’s money and partnership funds indicating ease in financial concerns.  Saturn and Uranus are still in opposition aspect from your 9^th house of philosophy, legal matters and foreign affairs to the 3^rd house of communication and community.  Stress levels have lessened but are not over.  Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in your 1^st house indicating your ability to gain weight has suddenly hit full tilt.  This aspect also trines your Saturn in the 9^th restraining you with guilt.  Don’t worry, Cap Jupiter will be out of Cap soon.

AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)

This New Moon takes place in your 11^th house of goals and inspirations.  You are high on life and the future and you can negotiate well under these conditions.  This New Moon also trines your South Node in the 7^th house easing partnership issues for the time being.  Mars and Mercury conjunct seem to accentuate a maelstrom of communications, especially about the future. Saturn in the 8^th house of other people’s money is still in opposition to Uranus in your 2^nd house of personal finances indicating that finances have been the source of much discussion. This eases up until February.  Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in the 12^th house of the past and preparations indicating party preparations.  The trine they form to Saturn will solidify all your plans positively.

This election will be over soon and we will all be able to breathe a sigh of relief. Whoever gets in will have overwhelming situations to deal with.  The economy is in trouble and, by my calculations, there will changes that start in January of 2010 that will transform our values,  as well as our finances, until October of 2011.

For my astrology students: look at the chart for the U.S. and you will see that Pluto will conjunct Venus during this period.

For each of us there will be a change in our personal financial values. Questions like “Is this worth the time? Or energy?”  The operative word will be ” worth”.  You will be making decisions on worth throughout next year.  Values are changing.

I am starting to get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas, my favorite holidays.  I always say it’s too much work but I must be programmed to perform Holiday Feasts.  This Thanksgiving will be a first as my daughter has gotten engaged and, hopefully, there will be a new mouth to feed at the table.  My son Anthony, his wife Robin and my granddaughters, Cassandra and Isabella, will be here and I want them to remember these special times when we are all together.  I always make a turkey but, in reality, by the time we get to the turkey, everyone is pretty full.  I still make it because it’s tradition. I was jostling ideas about some traditional Italian dishes I could make before the turkey.  I’ve always had my granddaughters over to help cook special dishes.  This year when I have them over, they will learn another Italian dish for Thanksgiving.  Mmmm-m.    So far, they have helped me make stuffed shells and lasagna.  If you have any ideas…please comment.

This month has some very interesting aspects.  The first thing I want to address is the New Moon in Scorpio.  This Moon is sensitive, intense, secretive and fixed.  It comes in with a mission.  The New Moon Eclipse back on August 1^st, 2008 at 9 degrees of Leo, is in square to this New Moon, bringing many challenges from the last three months to a head.  This will be a turning point in matters associated with the challenges that appeared on that New Moon Eclipse on Aug. 1 ^th,  2008.  What was challenging you at that time? The challenges will in some degree, be resolved this next month.  

RULE: New Moons bring in challenges and Full Moons bring in resolutions.

RULE: Squares bring in change.

RULE: Oppositions bring in endings. 

I am writing with more astrological data so you can see how I came to my conclusions.  The main aspects are: the above New Moon Square the August 1^st, 2008 New Moon Eclipse,  the Fixed T square that is explained in each zodiacal sig, Uranus and Saturn are in the throes of opposing each other and will be part of this months changes. Uranus in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo are both in mutable signs forecasting change from the old to the new. Usually, it is pretty explosive or unexpected.  It is and has been in orb for awhile, so you may be letting go of old, familiar and safe, for the unexpected, unusual and unfamiliar.  The words I hear most at these times are, “It’s not worth it to continue this path!”  You probably realize by now that the opposition is exact on Election Day.   In your personal lives there will be a letting go of something for more freedom. On a national level, it is the Election.  On a personal level, it takes place where Virgo and Pisces are positioned in your chart.  I have tried to make it easier for you to see the connections between the aspects.  I don’t know if I have succeeded.  You will have to let me know. Last, but not least, is Jupiter in Capricorn in Square to Mercury in Libra. 

Mercury went direct on October 15^th, 2008 and by October 31^st it will have passed the position where it went retrograde.  This means that anything that was delayed up to that day will start to manifest after passing the 22^nd degree of Libra.  Mercury will square Jupiter on the New Moon bringing in a lot of communication. ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

This New Moon falls in your 8^th house of partnership finances or other people’s money.  The Eclipse in August was in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs. These issues have reached a turning point for you.  Mars is forming a fixed square to the North Node and Chiron in the 11^th house of goals and square the South Node in the 5^th house of children, creativity, investments and love affairs.  The empty leg of this T square is Taurus, your 2^nd house, and promises challenges to your personal finances and values.  Scorpio New Moon also indicates strong and deliberate moves. Saturn is in Virgo, in your 6^th house of everyday work and health, and redefining them.  Saturn transiting the 6^th house of everyday work will be unable to contain the stress of freedom that cries from within. The Saturn opposition Uranus has to do with breaking away from the old patterns because you are unable to continue them. Mercury will resume its travel in your 7^th house of partnership and will square Jupiter signaling a communication deluge.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

This New Moon falls in your 7^th house of partnership.  This New Moon squares the last New Moon Eclipse of August 1^st, 2008 in Leo your 4^th house of home.  Your deliberate actions speak of a turning point that is about to take place that refers back to this beginning challenge.  Mars in Scorpio is square to the North Node and Chiron in your 10^th house of Aquarius and the South Node in your 4^th house.  The empty leg of this Fixed T square is in your 1^st house of personality and movement.  Fixed squares or T squares always try to ignore the obvious.  This energy tells me that you are about to do something, even though this is not the best time for it to take place.  If you ask me, perseverance always pays off.  Saturn in your 5^th house of children, creativity, love affairs and investments is coming to an opposition to Uranus in your 11^th house of goals.  This opposition is mutable and signals unexpected changes in these areas.  I do have to say that this aspect has the tendency to throw the baby out with the bath water.  Mercury makes a square to Jupiter from your 6^th house of everyday work and health producing mega-communications

This New Moon lands in your 6^th house of everyday work and health.  This is a very stubborn New Moon.  It also forms a square aspect to the New Moon Eclipse from August 1^st, 2008 that took place in your 3^rd house of communication and community. This square will usher in a turning point to the issues that have been a concern for the last three months.  The Fixed T square from Mars in the 6^th to Chiron and the North Node in the 9^th of foreign affairs, philosophy, education and legal matters, also squares the South Node in the 3^rd house of communications.  The empty leg is Taurus, your 12^th house of the past, hidden matters and institutions.  The energy will flow to the 12^th house and manifest as action from there.  Uranus in Pisces in the 10^th house of career is being opposed by Saturn in the 4^th house of home and core issues.  This may be the time for reassessment.  Think of what matters the most and not what bothers you the most.  Mercury makes a square to Jupiter from your 5^th house to your 8^th house of partnership finances. Loosen up friends.  Last month’s barrage of crushing situations is giving rise to the “I need a vacation syndrome”.  I feel that this little old Italian mama has been beaten to a pulp by a meatball.  I survived. How did you do?  I have many problems to solve because of last month and there are new situations that need prioritizing.  I’m sure it is the same with you.  This month the Sun is in Libra and that’s my ascendant.  This is always my favorite time of the year.  Check to see what house your Libra rules as it will be an even ride, for a change.  The Sun on my ascendant and moving thru the first house tells me that I will be more emotionally stable this month (thank God) and getting a lot of attention.  Venus enters Scorpio and love and money start to get a tad bit intense and secretive.  Mercury will be going direct on the 15^th setting the

stage for a revised Mercury transit. It goes all the way back to September 3, 2008 to renew decisions.  Uranus is still retrograde all month at 19 degrees of Pisces urging you to see if you have any planets at 19 degrees in mutable (Sag, Gemini, Virgo).  If so, hang on to your socks; the unexpected is going to rock your world.  As with any New Moon, some situations arise that will need your attention.  Wherever Libra is in your chart will give you the area to focus on for answers.

PISCES-(February 20-March 20)

This Libra New Moon takes place in your 8^th house of other people’s money, sex, death and taxes.  The challenges here

seem to revolve around finances.  Your concern for finances seems paramount at this time.  There are going to be delays but this Libra New Moon announces fairness and justice. That is one part of the challenge.  The other part of this challenge is fear; fear because of the Mercury retrograde and time restraints. Tune into your heart center for personal peace.

Can you believe that we are having another New Moon in Virgo? 

Take a minute to notice that the New Moon is in Virgo and very close to Saturn.  This is signaling a completion to our current Saturn cycle.  As Saturn moves forward after reaching 9 degrees, it will have completed a cycle that started last year.  Every degree that it conjuncts from here on is an outcome and new direction until it reaches 14 degrees.  When Saturn reaches this 14 degrees, take note because this is the exact degree it will return to on its next retrograde.  Saturn will be turning retrograde on December 31, 2008 only to emerge on May 17, 2009 at the very same 14 degrees that we are looking on September 21, 2008.  This will begin a new Saturn cycle that reaches into August of 2009.

Getting back to now, there are many astrological phenomena taking place this next month.  Saturn, already transiting Virgo, is now joined by the Sun and provides us with a sense of duty and renewed work ethic.  Mercury and Venus both step into Libra and add a lighter quality to your life.   Jupiter turns direct and trines Saturn, but it also squares Mars.  What does that mean? It means that certain projects have been on hold for awhile and, as they start to inch forward, you can receive help from people that want to support you in your current endeavors.  Pluto, the planet of transformation goes direct in the last 2 degrees of Sagittarius promising a new power position in your chart.

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

This New Moon at 7 degrees of Virgo lands in your 6^th house of work and health. You will notice a strong pull to organize and you will start a project that will take time and patience.  The Sun begins with a conjunction to Saturn signaling a new beginning in your house of work or health.  New exercise plan? Diet? Neptune is still hanging around enticing you to be a little idealistic. Try to keep a cap on your imagination.  There is also a Mars Jupiter square that warns you of over committing. All in all this looks like a month for new projects and new beginnings.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

This New Moon in Virgo lands in your 8^th house of partnership resources, other people’s money, sex, death and taxes.  The Sun conjuncts Saturn in this New Moon promising a new structured project that may have to do with one of the above subjects of the 8^th house.  This Saturn also trines Jupiter and promises a lot of help from people behind the scenes.  This is also a spiritual opportunity for some of you.  Neptune still occupying your 1^st house adds a little bit of the unknown to this scenario.  Mars in the 9^th house accents foreign affairs or your personal philosophy.  Jupiter is turning direct on the 7^th of September bringing opportunity from the past into the present.

PISCES-(February 20-March 20)

This New Moon in Virgo lands in your 7^th house of partnerships.  This is where you can be starting a project with  partners or it concerns a partner.  This is an added responsibility and it concerns new obligations.  Your organizational skills will be very useful.  Saturn will trine Jupiter in your 11^th house promising opportunity from friends and neighbors. Jupiter will also turn direct this month bringing forth some situation that has been held back.  Mars in your 8^th suggests that you will be spending money on you.

Hello, Fellow Star Gazers…

I am very interested in this New Moon Eclipse as it conjuncts my Natal Pluto and opposes my Natal Mercury.  Sounds ominous, but after doing charts for so many years I finally came to realize that Eclipses are like forgetting to pay the light bill: it happens, the lights go out and then you straighten out the mess.  Take note that the Eclipse is in the fixed fire of Leo. This indicates that the Eclipse will be personal to you and although it is uncomfortable, you seem to work around it quite well.  I have another Eclipse article that I will put up with more technical verbiage.  This is especially for my students and the curious.  Take a minute to locate what house the Eclipse falls in your chart as this will be definitive for you.

The Eclipse is a cycle that usually lasts 6 months but, with any luck, when the New Moon squares the New Moon Eclipse, a turning point is reached.  Make sure that you are using your natal rising sign for my forecasts.     

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  The challenge here is steeped in the creative principal and permeates the 5^th house.  You may find that affairs of children are high on your list of priorities. Vacations and investments can be in need of your attention.  The ever popular love affair may be an object of perseverance.  The 5^th house can represent many things but, ultimately, it represents the intangibles in everyone’s life.  Transiting Mercury is within 3 degrees of the Eclipse and promises to add a sharp edge to intellectual endeavors.  This transiting Mercury may find you intellectually cleaning house and replacing old outworn concepts with new fresh ideas.    

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 4^th house of home, core issues, beginnings and endings.  The challenge in the 4^th house takes place on many levels-physical, spiritual, emotional.  Your current perception of what makes you feel secure may be going under revision.  You may find yourself reaching for new ideas in the area of core issues. Leo is a fixed fire sign and signifies a personal challenge that you would love to forget.  Alas, that will be possible to a certain extent but your Taurus rising may have other ideas.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse may lead you down a spiritual path in regards to the home or core issues allowing you to find more peace and contentment.   Take note, the 4^th house is very personal.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 3^rd house of community, communications, brothers and sisters.  The personal challenge will have to do with ideas and communications.  This Eclipse is conjunct transiting Mercury enforcing this 3^rd house alignment.  Short distance travel, community involvement and discussions with close family may make this a great opportunity to exchange ideas and convictions.  Take advantage of the exchange and widen your horizons.

CANCER-(June 21-July 22) 

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 2^nd house of personal finances and possessions indicating that your value system may be challenged and finances may be compromised.  This is a personal matter and love can also be unresolved.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse promises a lot of communications to be exchanged before these issues can be resolved.  Possessions and what you value are the measurements that take place in this area.

LEO-(July 23-August 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 1^st house of personality and appearance.  This is your opportunity to individualize yourself from everyone around you.  Establish who you are and have it validated by others.  With the adjunct of transiting Mercury this may seem as if you need to promote yourself and if that’s the case, by all means, this is the perfect time for self promotion.   This is a time to distinguish yourself from everyone else in the world.    

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 12^th house.  This is the house that encompasses the past, the subconscious, our connection to the universe, and institutions.  The Leo Eclipse is fixed fire and indicates a personal challenge in this area of your chart.  Transiting Mercury is conjunct the Eclipse and promises many ideas and much communication in relation to your challenge. It is sometimes difficult to really understand the 12^th house because so much of the meaning can be shrouded in old emotional veils.  Take time to see this Eclipse clearly and resolve the issues involved. 

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 11^th house of friends, group associations and goals.  This Eclipse is fixed fire and by that signature indicates a personal challenge.  This is the area of the chart that deals with aspirations, desires and intangible pursuits.  This will offer you opportunities to advance your goals and desires in directing your attention to some floundering pursuit.  The addition of transiting Mercury to the mix only increases the opportunity to communicate your goals to others for validation.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)

This New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 10^th house of your standing in the community, career, and how the world views you. “How powerful are you?”  This will be a personal challenge and indicate a possible new addition to your skills or a refurbishing of your current skills.  The whole idea is personal power.  The transiting Mercury conjunct this Eclipse indicates communication will be also added to the mix.  You may be having a career malfunction or certain areas of your career need to be bolstered.  This Eclipse will be fixed fire telling me that you will try to live with this crisis and keep the status quo.

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)
