New Moon Forecast March 26th, 2009 at 6 degrees of Aries

It feels like spring!   Well ,  by George,  it is spring. The trees are budding and life is starting to wake from her winter sleep.   I love spring.  I get very   energetic   for an older gal at this time of the year.  I wake up to a new feeling of aliveness.  It must be the color green.  I never thought of this before but green is an intense color. Just think of what flashes through your mind when you see the vibrant green of a lawn or the burst of green in your flower garden.  Ah!  These are the things that move the soul.  The green of money doesn’t hurt either.  I am anxious to plant my vegetable garden, although I must hold myself back because of the weather here in Denver.   The best time to plant is after May 15th, but you are still not guaranteed a hail free spring.  I will start getting my planters ready and set them outside to soak up these warm summer days, always with an eye on the horizon for a possible hail or snow storm.

This New Moon is in Aries, the sign of aggressive beginnings.  That even sounds exciting.  This Venus retrograde has brought some things to a screeching halt and other paths have become visible up ahead.   For some of you this can be a difficult transition but, for others, it is a new awakening in terms of possibilities.  The story is not over yet but there is a significant amount of movement.  Venus is trying her best to catch up to Mars and that doesn’t happen until April 22nd.  I am a Libra rising and you can tell by my last posting that Venus, my ascendant ruler, is really jousting with my reality.  If that wasn’t enough, just as I was getting my swimming schedule secure, they closed the pool for a week.  This New Moon is very welcome as it lends energy and excitement to the coming month.

Mercury is in active Aries as we enter April and moves into steadfast Taurus on the 10th.  This will slow down the activity and bring a little stability to Mercury.  Mars is in Pisces most of the month but seems to tickle Aries around the 23rd of April.  This starts off a strong and active period for everyone depending on where it lands in your chart.  As for a magic date, watch the 22nd of April.   Jupiter is still racing through Aquarius and starts the month off at 19 degrees.  By the end of the month it is at 23 degrees of Aquarius.  It is fast approaching a conjunction with Neptune in the last two weeks of May just as Neptune is going retrograde.  It will conjunct Neptune for a total of 4 weeks.  I will write more about this aspect in May.  Uranus moves from 23degrees of Pisces to 25 degrees.  If you have any natal planets at these degrees in your chart, hold on to your boots.  Pluto goes retrograde at 3 degrees of Capricorn to retreat all the way back to 0 degrees of Capricorn.  This will be very important if you have natal planets at any one of the 0 to 3 degrees of Capricorn.

Please be sure to read your rising sign as it will resonate with your personal chart. If you have intercepted signs you will need to check it more closely.

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)This New Moon takes place in your 1st house of personality.  It brings action and energy to you on a personal level.  People will think that you are definitely moving at lightning speed.  This serge of energy is really good for self- promotion and for starting some personal exercise regime.   This New Moon also squares Pluto in Capricorn in your 10th expressing your desire to accomplish something with career overtones.  There may be a little frustration building for you in and around your work or health.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)This New Moon takes place in your 12th house of institutions and behind- the- scenes activities.  There may be a tremendous amount of energy that you are expressing from behind-the-scenes.  This is all due to the New Moon square Pluto in the 9th.  The energy will most likely be expressed on a mental level because of the house placements.  I would imagine that it will have much to do with research for some 9th house matters.  (Philosophy, legal matters, foreign affairs, high education)  This is great for you, Taurus, as your energy level is usually quite steady.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20) This New Moon takes place in your 11th house of goals, hopes and wishes.  It brings your aspirations and the possibilities of their manifestations into full view.   Clearly, you are in purgatory over some situation.  The energy that emanates from this Moon Pluto square from the 11th to the 8th sets your mojo on high.  Partnership finances and other people’s money will insist on your cooperation.

CANCER-(June 21-July 22)This New Moon takes place in your 10th house of career.  It has an intense square to Pluto in the 7th house and indicates your personal involvement in a very intense situation.  To say that this is minor is a mistake in judgment.  All four corners of your chart are activated so this is quite personal to you, and quite moving.

LEO-(July 23-August 22)This New Moon takes place in your 9th house of philosophy, higher education, legal matters and foreign affairs.  Pluto in your 5th house indicates that there is a relationship that needs to be put to the fire.  If it survives, it will be great.  If it fails to live up to your values, you are better off letting it go now.  There are new beginnings on the horizon so save yourself.

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)This New Moon takes place in your 8th house of sex, death, taxes and partnership resources.  Pluto in Capricorn, your 4th house, indicates financial interests involving your home and issues revolving around the home.  This can be a strong stimulus to repair or improve whatever structures you already have in place.  This also indicates a move to self-improve.

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22) This New Moon takes place in your 7th house of partnerships and dealing with the public.  This also is an intrinsic part of a cardinal T square from the New Moon to Pluto in the 10th house.  This is new partnership opportunity for you and has you putting a lot of effort into career matters.  You are learning by leaps and bounds as this includes all four corners of your chart.  This is personal and important.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)This New Moon takes place in your 6th house of everyday work and health, initiating some new beginnings.  It makes a major square to Pluto in your 3rd house of communications.  These are cardinal signs and they indicate a starting point for you.  Keep in mind that any and all 3rd house matters can manifest under this square.

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)This New Moon takes place in your 5th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  I think you are going to like this….  This puts Pluto in your 2nd house of love values and personal finances.  It’s getting better..  The square from the New Moon in the 5th and Pluto in the 2nd moves intensely toward achieving some desired personal goal.   It could be money, love, children or all of the above.

CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)This New Moon takes place in your 4th house of home and core issues in square to transiting Pluto in the 1st house of personality.  You may be called upon to take action on some home issue that requires your personal attention.   This can be an interesting transition for you because it requires your innate personal touch to make it happen.

AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)This New Moon takes place in your 3rd house of community and communications.  Dealing with your work environment and your community obliges you to communicate your desires to the world.  Pluto in the 12th house indicates work that has been going on in the background of your life. This is a transition and delights you in the end.

PISCES-(February 20-March 20)This New Moon takes place in your 2nd house of personal finances, love and values.  If you have Aries on the 2nd house, you don’t need any encouragement to make money; you are a money maker.  This is more about what you want in life or more specifically, your goals.  You begin something here that can be the next giant step in your life.

Aries

We salute the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere this time of year and it is all about you Aries, Happy Birthday and happy planting.  We say fair well to Pisces for now the ground has been prepared by our water sign and now we welcome in the Sun Sign Aries.  When the constellation of Aries is high in the sky, the ancients knew it was time to planet the new crops, when the sign of Aries shows itself you know the land is fertile for new seedlings.

It is time for growing, exploring, shouting with joy and laughing it is time to rejoice and embrace new life, the gifts of new birth and new direction for us all.  All you have to do if you have the courage is rally in the energies of this rambunctious sign, and you have new, new and more new.  Aries is an early morning sign waking at dawn to meet the world and all it has to offer, you are the first sign of the zodiac.

Under the tropical zodiac the Sun is in Aries from March 21 to April 19 the vernal equinox, and the Astrological New Year is here, hail to spring.  During this astrological new year we also embrace the energies of your ruling planet Mars.

When you pronounce Mars you want to put the sound of “Z” at the end “MARZ”, named after the Roman God of war, and bloodshed, its not really that bad.  For you Aries the glyph symbol for Mars is a spear and shield.  Each planetary symbol is associated with particular human attributes or qualities Mars is the archetype Warrior, Hero, Leader, your key words are “I Act.”  Mars is the action planet vivid, strong, bold, signifies power and heroism, motivation and manifest leadership.

Maybe that is why Arians have a soldier like appearance and temperament and do very well in high official positions.  Arians are leaders, independent and like to go on their own, not likely to take advice and they work well under pressure, in fact they love it.

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun in the Solar System and is considered the red planet because of its reddish appearance and has two moons Phobos and Deimos both small and irregularly shaped.  Mars is the action planet, it is about drive, force, strength, ambitions and love of competition, even at times domineering, and sometimes militant, “I want” and “I will get.”

Mars is the god of war represented by Ares (Greek), Mars (Roman), Indra (Hindu), Odin (Nordic), Attis-Adonis (Asia-Minor).  No obstacle is too great and not enemy too strong, with Mars energies we can learn to act as independent and self-sufficient; Mars gives us courage, and the will to act.

The cycle of Mars encourages development of skills; you can enhance your career, or improve you relationships.  Mars has a fairly short cycle approximately 2 ½ years, and spends about 57 days in each sign.  Which means that repeating patterns can be easily observed and used for personal benefit, just grasp the lessons Mars offers, with Aries determination.

You are a Fire Sign dear Aries as is Leo and Sagittarius and your modality is Cardinal where you convene with Capricorn, Libra, and Cancer.  Cardinal signs are considered the initiators of the Zodiac.  Let’s take a look at the energies of the fire signs first.  Fire represents the spark of life, and is the most positive of the elements.  Spontaneity and enthusiasm are just a few of your key words and your driving force once you get inspired.

The fire signs are internally motivated and have their own sense of truth.  You are radiant, glowing, warm, energetic, spontaneous, courageous, and self-confident.  All positive and very complementary, but we also have to examine the unskilled part of Aries you can be a hot-head, rash, impatient, impulsive, and a bit overwhelming for some of the other zodiac signs.

As a Cardinal Sign your energies radiate outward, spring forth just like nature during this time of year.  Setting still isn’t one of your strong points; you initiate action, start new things and get things going, you are a shaker and mover.  However, you can be a little top-heavy with personality, oh well.  Nobody is perfect and you can always flip those less than desirable traits because you are an Aries.

Aries your home on the zodiac wheel is the first house.  Traditional the first house is associated with personality and Aries has plenty of that, I mean that in a positive way.  The astrological houses are usually described as representing areas of life, such as health, career, relationship, and so on.  They can also be interpreted as representing 12 stages of development in the life cycle of the individual, embrace it either way.

Your Zodiac Symbol is the Great horned Ram, what a magnificent animal majestic in every way, shows great courage in its demeanor.  This animal is filled with life force, telling you to go your own way, follow your inner path, and stay clear of the rut made by the narrow minded.  The Ram helps you to balance harmoniously in unstable places, because sure footed is the Ram.  This long horned Ram signifies change and new beginnings.

Famous Arians: Charlie Chaplin, Joan Crawford, Henry James, Thomas Jefferson, David Letterman, Wayne Newton, Sarah Jessica Parker, Steven Seagal, Omar Sharif, Tennessee Williams, Vincent Van Gogh.

Full Moon Forecast for March 11th, 2009 at 20 degrees of Virgo

Full Moon Forecast for March 11th, 2009 at 20 degrees of Virgo

This Month has many interesting facets to it.  Let’s look at it point by point.

1. The Full Moon at 20 degrees of Virgo is within 2 degrees of Saturn and within 2 degrees of Uranus bringing us important information.  This is the manifestation of the Saturn Uranus opposition that we recently incurred.  There will be a change and we will be taking on more and/or different responsibilities.  This has been in the works for a while and is now manifesting.  Think about what is leaving and what is opening up.  This is a gift.

2.  Venus is going retrograde on the 5th of March and will return to the 29th degree of Pisces to go stationary direct on April 17, 2009.

Theoretically ,Venus rules Libra and the sign of Taurus and is

exactly 150 degrees apart or 5 signs from each other.  You may have difficulty finding the areas if you have interceptions in your natal chart.

 3.  Mars completes its transit through Aquarius and makes a conjunction to Neptune on March 7th and 8th, 2009.  Mars enters Pisces on March 15th, 2009 to stir things up a bit.  Interestingly enough, this Mars will conjunct with Venus when it turns direct on April 17th,

2009, a date that is worth watching.  If you have any planets in Pisces, Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius, this Mars transit will bring action to those planets.

4.  Jupiter continues through Aquarius and travels from the 13th through the 18th degree.  You are thinking about expanding this

area of your life.  Jupiter conjunct your personal planets (Sun or Moon), brings recognition and self confidence.

You may have noticed that my forecasts have gotten shorter.  I seem to have gotten Fried and decided to ease up for awhile.    My forecasts will still contain a lot of information but you may have to work a little harder

to figure it out.  I love my work but even God rested on the 7th day.

Please be sure to read your rising sign as it will resonate with your

personal chart.

Venus Retrograde by Catherine Schultz

May I introduce a very interesting lady.  She is quite knowledgable about Astrology and has written an article for your pleasure.

Venus Retrograde

I want to thank Mary Maclean for giving me this opportunity to write about the upcoming Venus retrograde in the sign of Aries.  Her confidence in me and my abilities, along with my love and passion for astrology are the motivating factors behind this article, for I certainly wouldn’t have taken it upon myself if she hadn’t asked me to.

This Venus retrograde really resonates with me, maybe because I have both my Sun and Mars in early degrees Aries.  Therefore, I thoroughly understand its energy and hope to shed some light for all you about its meaning and lessons that will hopefully impart on us when this cycle is complete.  To get the most of this Venus retrograde in Aries, we need to understand two things.  First, we need to understand the energy of Aries and Mars, along with Libra and Venus to see how this energy will manifest.

Let’s talk about Aries.  Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and the natural ruler of the 1st house. Make no mistake about it, Aries love’s to be first!!!  After all, it’s our birth right.  Sounds a little selfish, doesn’t it!!!  Well, that too I’m afraid is an Aries trait.  It may not be one of our “best” qualities, but hey…someone’s got to be first.  Actually, there are no good or bad qualities…it’s just a matter of perspective and knowing when and how to express the energies inherent in any sign at the appropriate times.  Aries is ruled by the plant Mars and describes how we go about getting what we want!!! Aries can be a little bossy, impatient, impulsive, and aggressive. In Greek mythology, Mars was the God of wars…he’s the knight and shining armor who is courageous, bold, and direct!!! He will go to battle fearlessly and hates to lose…in fact, he loves a challenge!!!  Depending on where, when, and how this energy is expressed can it be seen as either positive or negative.  The trick with any sign is finding middle ground…it’s not healthy to live on either side of the spectrum.   What I mean by spectrum can easily be understood by looking at any sign 180 degrees away, an opposition to.  In this case the sign Libra is the polar opposite of Aries.  Libra is everything Aries is not.  Libra loves to lure and charm the opposite sex…they know just the right thing to say.   In fact, they have a knack for chirping birds out of trees into the palms of their hands.  So diplomatic too!!!  Their mission in life, love and peace at all cost!!!   For them, decision making is probably their hardest tasks and are often seen as sitting on the fence, unable to choose or decide between one thing or another.  Unfortunately, what often happens is that other people decide for them, so they inadvertently give away their power to others, along with lost opportunities they later regret.  I have a friend who is Libra rising with Venus in Aries in the 7th house.  He is more concerned about the welfare of others then with himself and has totally sacrificed his own needs, wants, and desires for the sake of his relationship…thinking this will make him happy.  He keeps trying to get his needs met by projecting Venus and all its principles on to his partner, while unconsciously disowning what would actually bring him happiness… focusing more on him and being true to his self.  If we live too far on either side of the spectrum, we lose perspective and tend to express some of the not so great qualities inherent to that sign.  How interesting it is to me that Venus is set to retrograde in its opposite sign of Aries on March 6, 2009!!!  Perhaps both signs and planets have a little to teach the other about getting their needs met while still considering others.

Libra, the natural ruler of the 7th house, has a whole lot to do with love and relationships. It represents “others” in the birth chart; such as your spouse, partnerships that are legally binding, your best friend, people who represent you; like attorneys, and people you seek advice from.  What most people don’t know is that the 7th house also represents our shadow…parts of ourselves that remain unconscious, disowned and hidden. It’s where we encounter ourselves through others.  We don’t recognize this energy or its characteristics as being part of ourselves which is why we tend to project it unconsciously on to others.  As the old saying goes, opposites attract…now you know why.  What we are initially attracted to, we eventually repel.  We are attracted to the sign on our 7th house cusp so that we can heal and become whole through our relationships with others.

We all know that Venus rules love, relationships, partnerships, legal and binding contracts, values, possessions, self-worth, money, earnings, investments, beauty, art, marriage, divorce, friendships, open enemies, and big ticket luxury items.  With Venus in the sign of impulsive Aries…you may find yourself making impulsive, spontaneous purchases or decisions with far reaching consequences you may later come to regret…like when Venus goes direct!!!  With Venus going retrograde soon, we need to force ourselves to stop, think, and mull things over, before acting just yet. This is not the time to get engaged, marry, or have plastic surgery.  Nor is it the time to sign legal and biding contracts!!!  Do not buy luxury items either…you’ll spend more money than you can really afford.  Make no decisions when it comes to love and romance…do not start or end a relationship while Venus retrogrades…you’ll have seconds thoughts.  Although, I have heard that fated events happen when Venus appears motionless in the sky just days before its reversal and again when she’s just about to go direct.  Perhaps some of us single people will meet someone new, like the love of our lives!!!  Just one word of caution…don’t rush or force things to happen.  The person you meet may be in another relationship which they will need to end first, so be patient.  That’s easier said than done for some of us, especially those with Aries strong in our charts.  In fact, we should all use this Venus retrograde to go back and straighten out any relationships in pearl, and re-evaluate our own needs, wants, and desires, and how we can go about fulfilling them in healthy ways.   It’s not always our relationship to others that needs attention…sometimes it’s our relationship to money; how we acquire it, manage it, and spend it.  Let’s not forget about our morals and values either, these are all up for review now.

Venus retrograde brings up the past, and since this is a 1st & 7th house issue…it may very well bring back a relationship from your past into the present.  Apparently, we all have some unfinished business to attend to before we are able to move freely into the future.  The last time Venus went retrograde was July of 07, in the sign of Virgo and Leo…those were some trying times for everyone!  Many people got divorced and severed relationships without healing or closure.  Venus retrograde, along with the full moon on March 10 at 20 degrees Virgo, says maybe it’s time to bury the hatch, let bygones be bygones, and forgive those who have caused us the most pain and suffering.  It’s not an easy thing to do, that’s for sure, but maybe with Venus in the sign of Aries we can take the first step, be bold and courageous, and be first to say I’m sorry.  It’s time to end the cold war amongst our enemies and time for a little peace and harmony in our relationships.  Lead by example and extend your love to others…even those you love to hate.  Venus retrogrades all the way back into the constellation of Pisces at 29 degrees, the last degree of the last sign of the zodiac…the end of all things.  Again, we need to end something before we can move forward with the new…it isn’t over until the fat lady sings!!!  For those who are still clinging to a relationship that has served its time might see it end now.  Venus in Pisces can be a delusional, unrealistic, and seeing through rose colored glasses.  We go to great lengths to avoid pain and fail to see the writing on the wall. We may even resort to manipulative behaviors to get what we want.  It’s time to take responsibility for our own happiness and quit blaming others for our misery.  My first impression of Venus retrograde in Aries is “conflict resolution through direct confrontation.”  Venus in Pisces along with the sign Libra, avoids direct confrontations whenever possible.  With Venus in Aries avoidance behavior just isn’t going to fly anymore.  Mars will force a confrontation with Venus if necessary…it may be you or someone else who initiates the confrontation, but rest assured, yours and others feelings will be brought to the surface where it can be examined and reviewed.  Maybe you have been stepping on other peoples toes and pushing your weight around with no thought or consideration for others.  Venus is all about cooperation, peace, harmony, balance and diplomacy…and with her appearance in the Aries, she’s not going to tolerate such behavior for long.  She will start considering her own needs and start putting herself first which might trigger a confrontation with her lover, Mars, who is use to being in charge and calling the shots!!!  Mars, you need to give up some control and think about how your actions impact your important relationships. Venus, you need to stop letting everyone walk all over you and take advantage of your good nature.  This is a love affair that needs negotiating and cooperation if differences are to be dissolved and transcended in order to heal and move us forward into the future.
