New Moon Eclipse August 1^st, 2008 at 9 degrees of Leo..

Hello, Fellow Star Gazers…

I am very interested in this New Moon Eclipse as it conjuncts my Natal Pluto and opposes my Natal Mercury.  Sounds ominous, but after doing charts for so many years I finally came to realize that Eclipses are like forgetting to pay the light bill: it happens, the lights go out and then you straighten out the mess.  Take note that the Eclipse is in the fixed fire of Leo. This indicates that the Eclipse will be personal to you and although it is uncomfortable, you seem to work around it quite well.  I have another Eclipse article that I will put up with more technical verbiage.  This is especially for my students and the curious.  Take a minute to locate what house the Eclipse falls in your chart as this will be definitive for you.

The Eclipse is a cycle that usually lasts 6 months but, with any luck, when the New Moon squares the New Moon Eclipse, a turning point is reached.  Make sure that you are using your natal rising sign for my forecasts.     

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 5^th house of children, creativity and love affairs.  The challenge here is steeped in the creative principal and permeates the 5^th house.  You may find that affairs of children are high on your list of priorities. Vacations and investments can be in need of your attention.  The ever popular love affair may be an object of perseverance.  The 5^th house can represent many things but, ultimately, it represents the intangibles in everyone’s life.  Transiting Mercury is within 3 degrees of the Eclipse and promises to add a sharp edge to intellectual endeavors.  This transiting Mercury may find you intellectually cleaning house and replacing old outworn concepts with new fresh ideas.    

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 4^th house of home, core issues, beginnings and endings.  The challenge in the 4^th house takes place on many levels-physical, spiritual, emotional.  Your current perception of what makes you feel secure may be going under revision.  You may find yourself reaching for new ideas in the area of core issues. Leo is a fixed fire sign and signifies a personal challenge that you would love to forget.  Alas, that will be possible to a certain extent but your Taurus rising may have other ideas.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse may lead you down a spiritual path in regards to the home or core issues allowing you to find more peace and contentment.   Take note, the 4^th house is very personal.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 3^rd house of community, communications, brothers and sisters.  The personal challenge will have to do with ideas and communications.  This Eclipse is conjunct transiting Mercury enforcing this 3^rd house alignment.  Short distance travel, community involvement and discussions with close family may make this a great opportunity to exchange ideas and convictions.  Take advantage of the exchange and widen your horizons.

CANCER-(June 21-July 22) 

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 2^nd house of personal finances and possessions indicating that your value system may be challenged and finances may be compromised.  This is a personal matter and love can also be unresolved.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse promises a lot of communications to be exchanged before these issues can be resolved.  Possessions and what you value are the measurements that take place in this area.

LEO-(July 23-August 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo falls in your 1^st house of personality and appearance.  This is your opportunity to individualize yourself from everyone around you.  Establish who you are and have it validated by others.  With the adjunct of transiting Mercury this may seem as if you need to promote yourself and if that’s the case, by all means, this is the perfect time for self promotion.   This is a time to distinguish yourself from everyone else in the world.    

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 12^th house.  This is the house that encompasses the past, the subconscious, our connection to the universe, and institutions.  The Leo Eclipse is fixed fire and indicates a personal challenge in this area of your chart.  Transiting Mercury is conjunct the Eclipse and promises many ideas and much communication in relation to your challenge. It is sometimes difficult to really understand the 12^th house because so much of the meaning can be shrouded in old emotional veils.  Take time to see this Eclipse clearly and resolve the issues involved. 

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 11^th house of friends, group associations and goals.  This Eclipse is fixed fire and by that signature indicates a personal challenge.  This is the area of the chart that deals with aspirations, desires and intangible pursuits.  This will offer you opportunities to advance your goals and desires in directing your attention to some floundering pursuit.  The addition of transiting Mercury to the mix only increases the opportunity to communicate your goals to others for validation.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)

This New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 10^th house of your standing in the community, career, and how the world views you. “How powerful are you?”  This will be a personal challenge and indicate a possible new addition to your skills or a refurbishing of your current skills.  The whole idea is personal power.  The transiting Mercury conjunct this Eclipse indicates communication will be also added to the mix.  You may be having a career malfunction or certain areas of your career need to be bolstered.  This Eclipse will be fixed fire telling me that you will try to live with this crisis and keep the status quo.

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 9^th house of long distance travel, philosophy, legal matters and education.   Transiting Mercury conjuncts this Eclipse and adds some interesting ideas and concepts to entice you to share your ideas with others to gain more insight.  This will be a personal challenge as Leo is fixed fire and counsels you to continue your current thoughts throughout this Eclipse until the crisis dissipates. CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 8^th house of sex, death, taxes and partnership resources.  This is an important area of life that resounds around sharing with a significant other, i.e.,  partnerships, government, banks, inheritance.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse involves communication and ideas that will make this a personal challenge.  If you can imagine being audited by the government or trying to split up community property, then you will have an idea about this Eclipse.  It’s all about Money.

AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 7^th house of partnership or dealing with the public.  This Eclipse is in Leo, which is fixed fire, indicating that you will endure this personal challenge while trying to keep things going routinely.  Transiting Mercury conjunct the Eclipse  give us a heads up, adding communication to the current dilemma.  Partnership crises can be real and  they can leave you with the desire to run in another direction.  Take your time and try to understand the concepts of others.  You will endure because that is what you are good at.

PISCES-(February 20-March 20)

The New Moon Eclipse at 9 degrees of Leo takes place in your 6^th house of work and health.  The understanding that you currently have may change in a moments notice.  Transiting Mercury conjunct this Eclipse interjects an avenue of communication that will also be involved. This Eclipse is in constellation of Leo.  Leo is considered fixed fire and projects the possibility for change; but the change languishes in limbo.  If this is a health issue you will need to be attentive throughout the 6 month cycle.  You are at times much understated, but with this Eclipse, you will have to look super-human and very smart.

Full Moon on July 18, 2008 at 26 degrees of Capricorn..
Hello, Fellow Star Gazers…This is a particularly important Full Moon as it heads into the New Moon Eclipse on August 1, 2008. Interestingly enough, as we head into August, we will pass the point of the retrograde, which was 8 degrees of Virgo and now start to see an outcome to the last 9 months of transits. I noticed that we have Pluto, Jupiter, Chiron, Neptune and Uranus retrograde. I bet as they retrograde and hit your specific planets while Saturn is direct, they will manifest many results. Mars in Virgo all month will trine transiting Jupiter and, if you are lucky to have any planet on or around 15 degrees of Taurus, July 27th, 2008 will be extremely fortunate. Full Moons tend to be a completion of current endeavors of the house they occupy. Look for the New Moon Eclipse of August 1, 2008 to be a result of your current Full Moon.

ARIES-(March 21-April 19)
The Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn falls in your 10th house of career and standing in the community. The completion or ending that this Full Moon conveys is a change in career or how you may present yourself to the world anew. This is an angular house and is usually very personal. You may be changing careers or committing to redeveloping how people view you. You could be ending training for a career or changing what you do in your current career. All of these are possible and probable. If this Full Moon lands on a planet in your chart, this will give you more information of what this Full Moon involves. Example: this Full Moon lands on my Sun in the 4th indicating my energy and life force will be concerned with home and issues manifesting there.

TAURUS-(April 20-May 20)
The Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn falls in your 9th house of philosophy, higher education, legal matters and foreign affairs. This Full Moon will benefit you as it will form a trine to any planets you have in the sign of Taurus or other earth sign placements. If you have any planets in Libra, Cancer and/or Aries, this Full Moon will have you taking some kind of action in response. The 9th house is a very mental house so all of your gymnastics will take place in your head. Strategies and plans can be finalized for trips or other important 9th house matters. Your plans are important now. Actions that you take now will lead into the August 1, 2008 Eclipse.

GEMINI-(May 21-June 20)
This Full Moon takes place at 26 degrees of Capricorn in your 8th house of partnership resources or money from your work. There seem to be changes for you in relation to finances, not your personal money but money that you might receive from a partner or corporation. There will be a commitment or structure you will be putting into effect. This Full Moon trines your 12th house of the past and the 4th house of home and new beginnings. You are committed to making a change. If you have any planets in early degrees of Sag or Pisces, there are changes coming. The Full Moon will be entering Sagittarius also, so any planets you have at early degrees of Sag, Gemini, Virgo and Pisces will offer you considerable changes,

CANCER-(June 21-July 22)
This Full Moon takes place at 26 degrees of Capricorn in your 7th house of partnership. Be it business or personal, you can count on changes in dealing with any kind of partnership issues. Again, this lands in an angular house making these changes personal to you. Structure can be paramount as is commitment and plans for the future. Take into account that this will trine any planets you have in Taurus and transiting Saturn and Mars in Virgo during its approach to the Full Moon. The 7th house can also mean dealing with the public in some matter that may be close to you. Public acknowledgement and concern can manifest for you as well. This is a very visible place for a Full Moon.

LEO-(July 23-August 22)
This Full Moon takes place at 26 degrees of Capricorn in your 6th house of everyday work and health, an indication of what you have been experiencing for the last 9 months. This is all about changes in work and/or health. There is a plan or structure here that takes place at the Full Moon and leads to the New Moon Eclipse of August 1. This Eclipse will bring you more attention than you ever dreamed . This may be a change in the work you do. You may find yourself involved with a new health regime. I usually don’t mention this but 6th house also represents pets. Just thought I would throw it out there.

VIRGO-(August 23-September 22)
This Full Moon takes place in Capricorn at 26 degrees in your 5th house of children and creativity. The changes here can take many forms. It may involve your children, as they are a major creative act. It may involve love affairs, good times and gambling (investing). This Full Moon can be very harmonious for you as it trines all your planets in Virgo on the way to the Full Moon. You may find yourself preparing for, making plans or just commitments to new beginnings at the Eclipse or working hard on vacation goals. This will be very eventful for you as July and August put an end to the last year and starts you off in a new cycle.

LIBRA-(September 23-October 22)
This Full Moon takes place in Capricorn at 26 degrees in your 4th house of home and core issues. This looks important, Libra, as it takes place in your home or the structure of your life. There will be a twofold happening with this Full Moon because of the placement in the 4th house. Look for a change in the home or disruption in the home that will lead into the New Moon Eclipse. On a personal level take notice what structures you have committed to in the next month leading to the Eclipse. Most likely, you will not have a chance to steer away from the next 3 weeks. Capricorn is always structure, plans and commitment and if you have Saturn or Pluto in Capricorn, this will be a stressful but transforming Full Moon.

SCORPIO-(October 24-November 22)
This Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn takes place in your 3rd house of communications and community. Capricorn’s ruler is Saturn and conveys structure easily to communication with plans and strategies. There are community issues that may present themselves that deal with structure or re-structuring. Brothers and sisters may concern you with their new plans. This Full Moon brings with it a New Moon Eclipse on its heels that will develop into a new and challenging future event. This is a mental house and planning can, and will, become essential.

SAGITTARIUS-(November 22-December 21)
The Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn takes place in your 2nd house of personal values and private finances. Capricorn is easily the most structured of all the constellation definitions mainly because of the Saturn rulership. This is the time to take responsibility for personal finances and your love relationships. To tell you the truth, I don’t think you will have a choice and I know how that burrows into your thoughts on fun. I do think that this is something you have been expecting and it has finally come into fruition. The New Moon Eclipse follows with harmonious aspects. Challenging but harmonious.

CAPRICORN-(December 22-January 19)
This Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn takes place in your 1st house of personal presentation and personality. You are naturally ruled by Saturn and this Full Moon will only accentuate this. You may have restructured your look or become more conservative in your dress. This Full Moon finds you completing some personal project that you have been working on for awhile. This can be a restrictive cycle but to you this is not a problem. The New Moon Eclipse on August 1st will bring with it challenges to your new structures. You will love it.

AQUARIUS-(January 20-February 19)
The Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn take place in your 12th house of the past, hidden matters, institutions and subconscious. The 12th house has a way of limiting ones ability to move forward out of context. Your freedom is curtailed and energy has to be conserved. Any Full Moon in this house requires slow methodical movement. Preparation can have real meaning in this position. Look for answers in your meditations. This is a perfect time for mental and emotional cleansing. The New Moon Eclipse will bring in challenges to what surfaces at this time.

PISCES-(February 20-March 20)
The Full Moon at 26 degrees of Capricorn takes place in your 11th house of goals. This can be a momentous time as you are reaching some new goals. The idea that it is finally real can make you happy as a clam and just as giddy. It is now time to move forward with your current strategy and manifest the rest of the fantasy. There is an adjustment that you have to make but that is the least of your concerns. This is definitely the cake you have been baking for awhile and all that’s left to do is the icing. The New Moon Eclipse on August 1st can only bring a challenge to your delight. Think about it, how bad can it be?
